They usually live in a area of the house the family does not and uses this as a place of rest, such as a Attic or Cellar, they are attached to houses most time but some are attached to Families. If you move homes you need to let your Domovoi know of your move and respectfully request that he moves with you to your new home. He is a spirit that loves playing with horses so if you live in the country and have horses around he is not a good spirit to have as he will drive them crazy, he is harmless but annoying to horses.
