This listing is for a Immortal Portal to Ma Zu who is otherwise known as The Sea Angel,Lady of Heaven,Princess of Supernatural Favor, Heavenly Mother, Princess of Tides among other titles. Before she ascended to become a Goddess Ma Zu was a girl named Lin Mo from a fishing village on Mei-zhou Island in Fujian China. Her spiritual gifts manifested early. The local people called her Dragon Girl because of her Psychic ability to predict changes in the weather. Sailors came to her to seek advice before they set their boats out to sea. At age 13 she began training with a Taoist monk who gave her charms and taught her secret lore. Again her given family name was Lin Mo but as a local goddess they call her Ma Zu.

At age 16 Lin Mo was praying for her father and brothers who were caught in a typhoon at sea when she fell into a trance. Her soul traveled out to them at sea and manifested and helped them stay afloat. Meanwhile her body lay at home in a trance so deep that her mother thought she was dead. Grief stricken, she shook Lin Mo finally rousing her. Because of this she had time to save her brothers who later described their experiences, but because she went back to her body the trance did not last long enough to save her father. Another story at this age is when Lin Mo was 16, she and a girlfriend gazed at their reflections in a well and saw a fairy looking back. The friend panicked and ran away bu Lin Mo knelt in reverence. For her bravery and reverence the Fairy emerged from the well and gave Lin Mo a copper scroll inscribed with mystic symbols and taught her the magical art of life saving. Not much longer after this still at the age of 16 she was so guilt stricken over the death of her father she drown while searching for the corpse of her father at sea.

In the year 987 she was seen ascending with Fairy folk to her Immortal status from Mount Meifing on Meizhou Island. She is not a lazy Immortal by any mean she is active in her appearances to humans and she has been seen numerous times by men trapped at sea to aid in their rescue. She has been known to protect seafarers but also protects them on the turbulent seas of life and love, Although she began as a goddess of sea safety she has evolved into an all purpose goddess, fulfilling all of her devotees needs. She performs miracles of healing and fertility and has dominion over commerce, she can also banish evil spirits when called upon. She manifests dressed in red and during sea rescues she manifests as a fireball traveling up or down the mast.

She likes offerings of fresh fruit and Incense and any items of maritime significance are appreciated by her.
